I want my in laws to return my passport

Me and my husband were staying in a rented home in delhi. In year 2019 me and my daughter applied for passport with permanent address of my in laws. It got delivered there. Last year my husband passed away. After all rituals when I was at my father's home because I was not well we tried contacting my in laws but they didn't respond. Now I requested them to just give passports and my daughter's first birthday album but still they are not responding to my calls and messages. How I can get my things back.
hello mam i have read ur issues its very bad to hold yours aa well as your daughters passport . this is totally illegal to hold anybodies pasport in any comdition . in your matter you can opt for legal action against your inlawa for returning of all the belo gings belongs to you and your daughter. we can help you in this matter and you will get all this things with the help of court.

You can file a complaint for theft of your passport and the album in the nearest police station.
Or you can even send a legal notice for delivery of the said passport.
Do attach the receipt or other relevant document wherein the delivery was supposed to be made at in laws house while your husband was alive.
