Want to gift Ten lakhs to my wife as gift for purchasing flat. Whether registration is required and what is the charges. I am a govt servant.
You can donate the same to your wife as gift. I suggest you to gift the same through online to the seller. In the purchase deed of your wife you can mention about that in memo of consideration. The registration charges is about 8 percent on the present market value of the flat. You can also know about it in the government website also.
