I wrote an apology letter with photostate of my adhaar card and my friend's father submitted in the police station where they filed the complaint. Its been 5-6 months to the incidence. I need to apply for passport. So do i need to mention anything there. If i tick no there and when the poilce will come for verfication what will happen. I have not told my parents about fir filed against me. What should i do ?

Yes you should mention there while filling form of passport , otherwise at the time of verification you could be in trouble . at the time of verification if these facts come to knowledge that you have done this and you did not mentioned it can not be better for you.

You must check the status of said FIR against you, whether the same has been cancelled or finished by the police after said action. Rest you must disclose the correct information as the police shall check your police verification status and if you hide any information and the same come into the knowledge, so your passport may be cancelled with this reason only. Hence, check the status and then proceed.

In police verification it will come out that a F.I.R is there ..so it's better to quash or compromise that matter then apply for passport....

yes, you have to mentioned details of FIR, otherwise suppress of this fact may lead you into legal issues. It will be better to give the details and if any issue occurs, then you can approach the Hon'ble Court, having jurisdiction in respect to police Station, where FIR has been registered.

You need to show the FIR for further consultation. Is that FIR produced in court as yet? Who had filed the FIR? Was it in known to your friend or not? Who had complained about this in the Police? Please give complete details.
