if the gazette process is done then the only step is to get the new name published in a newspaper and once done you can take the details to the cbse office to get the name change. time is minimum 45 days and the money involved at the office is around 5000/- of you are accompanied by an advocate otherwise it is the whims and fancy of the officials there

You can write to your school or the governing body regarding the same. If you don't receive a response, you have the option to file a writ petition before the Honorable High Court for further action. I hope this ends well.

We have to serve a representation to cbse for changing the name and if they fail to redress our grievances then we can file a writ petition before the appropriate court for seeking change in particulars inter-alia change in name
