Registration of marriage again after divorce

01-Oct-2023 (In Divorce Law)
I married a girl I loved secretly on aug 2016 and had also registered my marriage on aug 2016 in bangalore as per Hindu marriage act.Due to differences we got divorced by mutual consent on Sep 2018.We don’t have any issues against each other and want to move ahead and marry someone and register our marriages in our respective states which is Jharkhand and westbengal. Problem is the marriage was done secretly and no one knows about it . Even our parents don’t know and we have some personal family issues due to which we can never disclose this act. So marriage & divorce both are secret. Due to same reason when we marry someone else we cannot take risk to disclose it to them. So if we register our next marriages in our own states registrar office without disclosing our previous marriage status can it be caught? I mean the validation check fails and software says “married”?? Our registration wasn’t done by Adhar OTP.Please help.We want this to be secret for ever or else we are gone.

Dear Madam,
You can marry again without disclosing your earlier status of marriage since you both are divorced. The data maintained by marriage registrar is not accessible to general public so easily. If you don't want to disclose your earlier status of your marriage you can do so without any trouble and get married.

A court marriage means a marriage solemnised under the Special Marriage Act, 1954. A couple belonging to any caste, religion or nationality can solemnise the court marriage in the presence of a marriage officer and three witnesses. As per Section 29 of the above Act, no petition for divorce shall be presented to the district court unless, at the date of the presentation of the petition, one year has passed since the date of entering the certificate of marriage in the Marriage Certificate Book.
