File for a divorce against an alcoholic husband

Its been 10 years after I got married, my husband addicted to alcohol, I know he is alcoholic person at 6 months of our marriage, that time I was pregnant, and ours is love marriage. I gave so many chances to my husband to get rid of this alcoholic addiction. Nowadays he is taking some other drugs along with alcohol and behaving more violent in front of my son, I am worrying about my son future, so I planned to separate from my husband, what is the legal procedure to apply divorce

hi Felix here, I can well understand your concern from the query raised, being alcoholic alone cannot be construed as a ground for divorce, but if mental cruelty or any physical abuse against you or your son as a result of alcoholism can be construed as a ground for divorce, thank you, you can contact me for further clarification

you have two procedures to separate from your husband one is to put an end to the matrimonial tie up by the way of divorce and next if you are husband is an alcoholic and it is a very dangerous to live with him if you feel that that you cannot live with your husband and day today basis by the travel cost by him then you can also file a judicial separation
