some clarity is needed. whether you received summon through police or summon through post. similarly what are the sections has FIR was filed. If summon through police, you have to attend the court. otherwise witness warrant is to be issued

it ok.. your absence will not abate the case. so need to speak to police and check whether charge sheet filed in court
incase chargesheet filed,ask the police advance the matter, so that the accused will summon.. document served , in case he not plead guilty matter go for trail.. then u stand in witness box and turn hostile...case will end in acquittal... in your absence criminal complaint will active u need to take initiative with help of lawyer

if you are complainant the case will be dismissed og it is private case. If it is a police case no summons will be issued witness warrant will be issued for your presence and giving evidence in the above case. first of all you cannot file FIR.
