GPA POA Validity in Karnataka back in 2005

Hello Team,nI would expect Advocates From Karnataka State to answer my query.nnWas there any compulsory registration of GPA/POA back in 2005?nSome of them have used Unregisterd but "NOTARISED" GPA/POA to execute sale of Immovable properties. I have one too.nI have posted this few months ago but I got two different answers and someone asked me to Talk to 'ADVOCATES FROM KARNATAKA OR KARNATAKA BAR ASSCOCIATES'.nnCould you please tell me is this valid or not?

if immovable property is to be transferred it is very much necessary that the power of attorney should be registered, if power of attorney is not registered then there is no sale in the eyes of law. there are various judgements on this point.

GPA registration is possible in all sub-registrar offices in Karnataka. GPA registration does not depend on the jurisdiction of where you own your property. If Principal and attorney live in different locations, principal can register GPA at nearest sub-registrar and courier GPA to attorney.
