Q: Reply to court notice for divorce sent by my husband

Married in 2013 have a daughter aged 9years but husband did support me and my daughter since her birth so I'm living in my parents house from 9years . Since then no communication between us. My husband changed his house without informing me 8years ago itself. Now he sent me divorce notice from court hindu marriage act. What should I do and what reply should I send??

Advocate Bharat Narasgouda answered
in this case the first thing is you have to engage a lawyer and attend the court, in court there will be conciliation by the court where the court tries to unite you or ask you both if this can be settled, if inspite of efforts put by court to unite you the efforts fail then a date will be given to you to reply to his petition where you can state the facts as per your version and denying the allegations made by him, you have to disclose all the facts to your lawyer who will prepare the reply and file, further if he is not providing any maintenance to you both you can file application for maintenance under section 24 of hindu marriage act or domestic violence act or under the new amended BNSS act.

Q: Compensation for injury at the site of a wedding reception

I was at a wedding reception at an outdoor lawn (inside private property). A huge tree used as center piece (with lighting, sound equipment etc on it) toppled over our table and landed on my foot. Three surgeries later, one big toe had to be amputated. Can I claim compensation from the management of the facility for my injuries plus mental stress/agony, permanent disability. There was no wind, rain or any other natural calamity for the tree to fall on me.

Advocate Bharat Narasgouda answered
yes you can file a criminal case for negligence and also a civil case for compensation against the hotel as it was their duty to see that the tree is intact and it does not cause loss of life and limb and as they are providing services the person who hired the hotel can also file a consumer complaint for defiency in service.

I need to file defamation case against principal who said wrong statement about me in dist. office meeting infront of 25 principals. it damaged my reputation. so i need to file case. what are the proof needed for this case

you have to file a case in court for defamation, you have to have some proof such as recording or someone who will also testify in court that he said such things and due to which your reputation in their eyes is lowered, further you have to also state that you are a respectable person in society and your name has been spoiled due to his statment.
