Does a plaintiff need to be present on the hearing

29-Oct-2023 (In Civil Law)
My wife met with an accident last year and the other person was drunk and started abusing so my wife filed a case in Bhopal, we stay in Bangalore and now it become difficult to attend the hearing, we have received already 2 dates and 3 date too looks not possible to us to go that far and attend the hearing. Just wanted to ask if my wife not able to present can the case be automatically dismissed or is there a chance of issing the warrent against plaintiff not absence in the court. Please help
