If you being a Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) employee pursue a regular degree without permission from his department, you may face disciplinary action as per the rules and regulations of your department. It is generally considered a violation of service rules for an employee to undertake any activity, including pursuing higher education, without seeking prior permission from the department.

The specific disciplinary action that may be taken against you depends on the department's policies and the nature and severity of the violation. It may include reprimand, withholding of promotions or increments, suspension, or even termination of employment in extreme cases.

If you have already pursued the degree without permission, you should inform your department and seek approval for your future plans. It is important to be transparent and honest about the situation to avoid any further complications.

No you can't pursue further studies without seeking prior permission of your employer. If you have done so and now intends to join duties as Teacher you can do so without giving reference of your present employment. However, if during verification it is transpired that you were in service and you had concealed this vital information, it may have adverse bearing on your new job.

Government employees often have questions about pursuing regular degree courses while being in a government job. The rules and possibilities vary, but here's some general guidance:
  1. Permission for Higher Education: Most government jobs have rules and guidelines regarding higher education while in service. It's essential to check your specific department's policies. Some government departments encourage employees to pursue further education, while others may have restrictions.
  2. Regular Degree with Government Job: It is possible to pursue a regular degree while working a government job, but you typically need to seek permission from your employer. Some government employees opt for evening or weekend classes to balance work and studies.
  3. Continuing Studies After Joining: If you have completed the first semester of a degree course and then secure a government job, you may be able to continue your studies. However, obtaining permission from your employer is crucial.
  4. Last Semester and Government Job: If you are in the final semester of your degree and receive a government job offer, you should discuss this with your prospective employer. They may allow you to complete your remaining semester, but it varies from case to case.
  5. High Court Judgements: There have been instances where High Courts have issued judgments regarding government employees pursuing regular courses. These judgments can provide insights into specific cases. However, the applicability may depend on your circumstances and location.
  6. Consult HR/Personnel Department: To navigate the rules and regulations regarding pursuing a regular degree while working for the government, it's advisable to consult your HR or Personnel Department. They can provide guidance and help you understand the specific rules of your department.
In summary, while it's possible to pursue a regular degree while holding a government job, it's essential to obtain permission and adhere to your department's policies. Consulting with your employer's HR department and understanding local regulations is crucial for a successful balance between work and education.
