Hello,

Being a grandson, you do not have any right in the self acquired property of your grandfather. As your grandfather died without leaving any will, his property would devolve on his wife i..e, your grandmother his son(s) and daughter(s) if any.

3) during lifetime of his children grandsons have no right on grandfather property

Hi
The legal heirs of the grand father will be eligible to claim the properties as class I heirs vide section 8 of Hindu succession act.
Grand sons will be entitled to succeed to the properties only if their father/mother are not alive.

Dear Client,
You being grand son has right to get share along with other co sharers. You along with your father and his other brothers and sisters with your brothers and sisters get share in it. You must consult an expert advocate putting before him all the facts like, how many brothers and sisters your father has and how many members your family consists of and the property particulars etc., He must file a civil suit for partition of ancestral property for getting your share.
