The best and quickest way for you in this circumstances is to approach high court and get the FiR quashed by consent. Both of you can jointly file the petition and pray before the high court to quash the proceedings.

  1. Withdrawing a Complaint: If you wish to withdraw a police complaint, it's possible, but the process can vary depending on the nature of the complaint and the stage of the investigation.
  2. Process for Withdrawing a Complaint:
    • To withdraw a complaint, you should typically approach the police station where the complaint was filed.
    • You may need to submit a written application expressing your desire to withdraw the complaint. This application should include your reasons for wanting to withdraw the complaint.
    • The police will review your request and assess whether it's appropriate to withdraw the complaint.
  3. Legal Implications:
    • If the complaint relates to a serious offense, withdrawing it may not be straightforward. The police and the court may consider the victim's rights and the severity of the crime. Depends upon whether the offence is compoundable or not.
    • Consult with a legal expert for guidance on the specific case, as they can advise you on the legal implications of withdrawing a complaint.
