Hi,

At a glance, you need not to worry as it seems from your query that the case is closed since you have fined with an amount of Rs 4,500/- in the year 1024 and no appeal was filed by State. However, you must inform the employer about this case and just believe that such a statement from your part will not cause any harm to you. Last but not least, as you said, you are selected in Kerala police, you must make sure that people in the Society should get justice from you and be a good Police person, achieve all promotions in time. Have a great career. I wish you all success.

If the case is still pending it might hamper your career. Since you have not mentioned the exact crime charged under you U/S S.506 IPC S.118(d) of KP Act I am unable to help you to that extent .However, since you confessed to committing crime it is advised to settle the matter ASAP to avoid future hurdles.

What Hon’ble SC held that,
In case offence is petty in nature committed at young age, such as stealing a bread, shouting of slogans or is such which does not involve moral turpitude, cheating, misappropriation etc. or otherwise not a serious or heinous offence and accused has been acquitted in such a case when verification form is filled, employer may ignore lapse of suppression or submitting false information in appropriate cases on due consideration of various aspects.
As per the information, your case is petty case and not a heinous offence or does not involve moral turpitude, cheating, misappropriation.
So don’t worry

In case, if the employer takes any action, you can challenge it before the court.
