Refund of Payment from Agency for fulfilling the assigned work

I have hired a website development agency for the development of our website.As per the mutual understanding with the agency, it will start the work with a 1/3rd amount in advance.Once the agency starts the work,the remaining amount will be paid.But after five days, the agency demanded more money to start the work.On realizing potential fraud, I asked to discontinue the project and asked for a refund of my amount. But they are not responding to my constant communication. What can be done now ?

Hello, If you feel that you have been cheated/duped by this agency, then initially you can send them a legal notice through a Counsel and give them sometime to communicate back. If that fails and if the money is a bit too much then, please consult a good Counsel who can take this matter forward and prosecute them both in a Civil Court and also in a Criminal Court. Regards

Is there any kind of agreement between you? And does the company you contacted have any valid documents? Means is the company legal or illegal? If the company is legal then you file a case in their name in cyber police station,If company is illegal then cyber police police will take you the required documents. or you can file a court case on their behalf,
