Investigating officer had made me stand in police station

02-May-2023 (In Criminal Law)
Investigating Officer (IO) had made me stand in the police station for around six hours on a pcr call from the neighbor on complaint for fighting and abusing. The police office had written the complaint on rough register and given the punishment of standing for a day in the police station which he later reduced to 6 hours

That’s wrong. What’s your question/query. That’s a punishable offence and action can also be taken against the police officials also. And your neighbour can also be registered with the offences punishable under the legal proceedings. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

You didn’t any any question, it was rather narration of what happened.
Anyways ! Police don’t have rights to punish anyone like this …however police have power to register the case u/s 506, 323 etc according to the gravity of complaint …if u stood for 6 hours, it is better to stand in the court of next 6 years ..! But still if u want to do complaint against that officer u can do but visa Versa he may file FIR against you in non-bailable offence n u might end up going to jail …so decide n b in touch
