File another complaint before commissioner of police and they will call concerned police why action not taken and u can also use social media facebook and whatsapp for things done by ur wife any way u have filed complaint and not intending to live with ur wife.

The Magistrate has parallel powers. But such powers never utilized by the citizens. Get file a private complaint. If one of the party is government servant then it is very easy for you to play with them and bring them to terms like mutual divorce or any other relief. Rest in person.

If you have filed an FIR (497) against you wife and her ex boyfriend and if the the police have not taken any action and they are unnecessarily delaying, please approach the advocate who practice on Criminal Side law. He will enable you to make the police to register the Crime and investigate the case. But you must posses acknowledgement to evidence that you have filed the complaint with the concerned police.
