Abnormal Hike in maintenance charges by housing committee

I stay in gated community in Hyderabad where the Mainetannce charges have been 7k per month irrespective of the sad state of affairs in the community. Received an announcement from committee that there is a hike of 5k per month taking it to 12500 per month and it’s effective 1st of October. Couple of concerns from the tenants : Abnormal hike of 5k(66%), Notice period of 10days before the effective date, committee isn’t ready to share the services covered under the maintenance charges and the balance sheet of the usage neither the cause of increase. How can we as tenants push back on this? What are the legal options that we have? Do tenants have any strong case against the society basis the points I shared? Any help is greatly appreciated!!!
hi sir first we need to see whether the society is registered under Societies Registration act and any other law and the notice or agreement in which they had hiked the price and then we can decide to proceed legally
