Tenancy by holding over, evction after expiry of rent agreement

12-Apr-2024 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)
A tenant continues to stay after expiry of the registered rent agreement. Keeps paying rent regularly for more than two years. Can he be evicted at a later date under Delhi rent control Act. Will there be any other complications, because original rent agreement has expired ?

If the original rent agreement is expired then the tenant should evict the property in question. But it will also depend upon the terms and conditions of the agreement upon which the tenancy is based. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.
