If it's a mutual divorce, where she has treated me badly and she was sick. Then why should I pay 6 lakh. Some 2-3 lakh is genuine amount which they have spend. But then me and my family has spent two years to make this marriage work and I have been through mental health issues because of her. Some person from there side even asked money in lakhs from me saying they have given 10 lakh to in-laws. But he called me for asking 14lakh.

hello client as you have mentioned above the issue . in this matter as you are saying tht your inlaws as well as your wife mistreted you as well as you have also been harrased by these people then why you are willing for settlement and if you are so sure tht you are not wrong and you are able to prove that you have been harrased then leta fight the case. instead of going for settlement and in tht sinarion fighting a case be better tgen giving the money.

In case of mutual Divorce, the decision of settlement lies in the hands of both the parties and no other person is a party of the settlement. so this decision of the amount settlement is completely depends on you and your partner that on how much you both are agreed

if it's a mutual divorce then in that case the amount will always be settled at an amount which you are ready to pay and the amount she is ready to recieve. it is basically a mutual mediation which two people have to do ... nobody can ever force you to give more money but the divorce has to happen through court only and if it is a mutual divorce then it would be finished in two motions with in six months .
