Dear sir, One of my friend (22-year girl ) is being blackmailed by someone through WhatsApp and on phone call ...the blackmailer is threatening her to viral her private photos which were taken by her boyfriend one year before... He is demanding a physical relationship with her. She worried now...what to do sir if someone blackmails you with pictures what to do..? Please advise... She is thinking of doing suicide... Sir, please advise something appropriate... Thanks

Dear client ! Facing such demands for illicit relations has become a profession nowadays. There is nothing to worry about. First of all you must Lodge an f.i.r. under relevant sections of IPC&IT ACT at your nearest police station. If police doesn't comply or Register your complaint you may file an application before magistrate under 156 (3) cr.pc

Don't worry and tell her to go to police station and give first information report lodged against that blackmailing person in section of 354 ipc and 67 information technology act. And make convinced her for not doing suicide

She need not worry ,just ask her to lodge complaint online , her identity will not be revealed ,with that even if she had done the private act voluntarily ,its offence if any one tries to manipulate that ,further she could straight forward deny that photographs or video whatever it is ,because nowadays lot of softwares are available which could paste your photo to look real !

Advice her not to take a step of sucide. Instead of contact police and file for against the culprit. Take strict action, against the culprit and ask her to tell everything to her parents for her help.

First of all, ask her not to do anything to harm herself. Suicide is not a solution. You cannot be sure that after committing suicide, he will not viral such pics or start threatening your parents.
You should approach Cyber Cell established in your state/city or nearest police station and lodge a FIR. Provide them blackmailer's name, address (if known), phone number and phone calls & WhatsApp chat history. They will definitely help you.
