FIVE year convicted person can get passport after the complete the conviction?
Reply by LawRato
According to Section 6 of the Passports Act, 1967, an applicant is not eligible to obtain a passport if, at any point during the five years prior to the date of the application, they have been convicted by an Indian court of an offence involving moral turpitude and have been sentenced to imprisonment for a period of at least two years. Hence, your passport application is liable to be rejected as per this provision.
