Filing writ in AP High Court for non registration of FIR

I want to file writ petition in the high court because police has not registered FIR when I approached to the police station concerned? Can I file writ petition?

Yes, under Article 226 of the Indian Constitution, for the violation of any fundamental rights of your's, you can approach High Court by filing a Writ of Mandamus seeking Directions from the Court for the Police to register FIR. Similarly, under Article 32 of the Indian Constitution, you can approach the Supreme Court for the violation of any fundamental rights of your's & as such, to get the Writ of Mandamus issued in your case for seeking Directions for the Police to perform its duty of registering FIR.

you may file a private complaint against the accused by sending copy of written complaint against the accused under u/s153(3) of CrPC. kindly contact me at your earliest convenience to discuss your case at length.

you may approach magistrate court u/s 156 of CrPC. High Court will not entertain your writ petition directly bcz you have option of section 156 of CrPC. if magistrate passes order in your favor then police has to register fir
