Time limit to file criminal case after sending legal notice
as such there is no time limit to file a criminal case but if it is continuance of offense then the criminal case can be filed any time kindly contact me for talking about the matter in brief about the matter and to take it further to file a police complaint and further a private complaint

Generally when give criminal notice we mention period of 15 days to receipent to give feedback to notice. If no feedback by way of auction is given then period of cause of action starts when receipent receives notice. Different period of limitation are prescribed as per Indian limitation Act for particular nature of case or to subject matter. For example , to file complaint under Sec. 138 of Negotiable act period of one month is prescribed from date of receipt of notice.
