Rights of a person on whom police complaint has been lodged

18-Aug-2023 (In Criminal Law)
I got a call from a police station pertaining to a complaint filed against me. I asked about the nature/detail of the complaint. However the constable refused to share any details and said I have to come to police station. Is it the right procedure? Can't I know the details of the complaint filed against me before I go to the police station?

Please do not go to the Police Station without a lawyer and demand the copy of the complaint. The police is highly corrupt and they wish to extract money by threatening you. Engage a lawyer and apprise him of the total background. Then act on his advice. Engage an expert criminal lawyer who is efficient in managing crook cops.
