What is the meaning of notice of stay

In court proceeding what is the meaning of Notice of stay in the case CWP-13367-2014 in punjab and haryana high Court chandigarh in interm order dated 14 July 2014.does that means stay to the proceeding of company or not.

Hii .... in that order the words are "notice regarding stay also" it means argument on stay will also address on next date. So there was no stay at all. On that day justice summoned the respondent in main case as well as to argue on stay also.

Depends upon the contents of that oRdeR, theRe is no as such blanket definition of notice of stay, it can be undeRstood as peR the diRections & woRdings of that v.oRdeR. in which context, couRt oRdeRed that, obly by way of that it should be construed

Company can proceed but cannot change the status of petitioner without filing its reply in the Court. It also means that the respondent is alerted that the Court is going to stay proceedings, and in case the respondent has anything to say, most welcome by next date but do not change the status of petitioner before the next date.

notice of stay means that the Court has issued notice to second party i.e. respondent for forwarding arguments on the issue of stay. it does not mean that a stay has been granted. howver, in this case further details are required for better opinion.
