No , there is no any rules for installation of CCTV in work place. But my advice that you take installation certificate from CCTV installation. In the future this certificate is useful in any legal issue.

General rules are that, the CCTV cameras can't be hidden, they should be installed openly.

And, the place where the CCTV cameras are installed should declare for visitors in written that you are in constant servillience of CCTV cameras, indicating the locations at which the CCTV cameras are installed.

Recording of CCTV cameras should be so saved that it should be available at all times for inspection to Govt. Investigation Authorities etc.

There are no specific rules about installation of CCTV cameras at work place. But while installing CCTV cameras you should take care of privacy of others such as, you should not cover the area of other premises. Further you should not install the cameras at a place which invades the privacy of anyone, specially women, for example you should not install it in bathroom, women's restroom or other similar places.
