Can I take a legal action if pharmacy gave me the wrong medicine

I have been given a wrong medicine by the pharmacy yesterday and as a result I have been feeling the side effects as this is an antidepressant even a wrong dose makes me sick. Also I have been charged twice the price of the medicine. What's the step I should be taking now? Thanks
Ofcourse you can take action. However, what is important here is if you took the medicine after showing prescription and did you get a receipt from the pharmacist. You have a good consumer case. The first step would be to issue a small notice to the pharmacist describing how he has not read the prescription properly and all. Chances are that he will be sacred and may offer you some free of cost products. Else go to consumer court. File a complaint online. Let me know if you need my assistance.

Yes, you can file a case for damage and negligence from the Pharmacy company. You can also charge the Pharmacy for cheating and fraud. Its a case serious medical negligence and lapses on the part of the shop owner.

A pharmacist have a duty to take care about what medicine he is giving. If he gives you wrong medication , then he is liable for medical negligence if that medication resulted in injury. You can take legal action against him.

yes you can sue that person but for that you should have valid prescription from doctor or hospital and bill of that shop who has given you wrong medicine.... in case you dont have any of these then it is difficult to take action against him
