How to get birth certificate cancelled for passport.

In 2016 I applied for passport where I wrongly submitted my birth certificate which had wrong DOB (1994) whereas in all my other document my DOB is (1995) which is what I used everywhere else. That time I was said to get the DOB rectified in my birth certificate which I did not do that time. I applied again in 2020 with the DOB mentioned in my AADHAR now but passport office raise the same issue again saying in my previous application which they found contains wrong DOB in birth certificate. But time time around I was told to either get the birth certificate cancelled or get the date rectified in birth certificate. When I went to the nagar nigam in kota-rajasthan I was told that birth certificate does not get cancelled. Can someone suggest me what are my options now to get a passport.
