govt job -traffic violation fine

21-Sep-2023 (In Civil Law)
hello sir/madam Iam about to join a central govt service. so in one of the attestation form it is written that " have you ever been fined by the court of law". Actually 4 months ago, I got a traffic violation fine for not wearing the helmet. i paid the fine there itself on road to the police officer. so should i mention this in that attestation form.. in that form it is written that suppression of info's will lead to termination of job. so Iam actually scared and don't know what to do!!

At present, the police verification for determining one’s fitness for government job is about criminal antecedents. Mere breaking of a traffic rule is not criminal activity , but there can be criminal charges c oncerning driving. So, the charges are more important. When a spot fine is collected and the car and vehicle owner / driver are released, it is not criminal charge and there is no problem in getting government job. In case of criminal charges, the traffic sergeants / police officers officers have no authority to release the vehicle and the owner / driver.
