MY OPINION THAT you have many options to get legal step /steps for the villagers are wrong doing with you, you have immediately take legal steps on criminal court and first made FIR against them, then have made fresh complain against them for take appropriate judicial custody.

Immediately lodged a general diary before your local police station against those villagers stating all the facts and harrassment. Then police officer may takes action against them and thereafter you will be free from their harassment and also from your tension.

Look. If the person without justify reason harass any person or to assault any person then the victim should have right to knock at the door of nearest Police Station first. And lodged a Written Complaint against the offender. If the Police did not receive your Complaint. Then send it through Registered with A/D to the Police Station through Registered Post. Wait for few days, if nothing will happen by the Police Authority, then Send a Written Complaint with Xerox Copy of the aforesaid FIR to the Superintendent of Police of the District either directly or through Registered with A/D. If after wait few days, if you see nothing has been change by the Concern Police Authorty, then meet with an Advocate and file a Complaint before the Ld. Chief Judicial Magistrate of the District under section 156(3) Cr.P.C. and see the result. Thank you.
