Bank is not returning the documents i gave for personal loan

30-Sep-2023 (In Civil Law)
Hi Sir. I had been applying for Personal Loan since last four years, the Loan rejecting due to CIBIL Report. (an earlier personal Loan was there which had been taken for my Friend & Cousine, But they had not paid the installments in time. So the DPD showing in CIBIL is very poor rate). anyway that may be their policy. But the Bank not returning my Documents which had been submitted for Personal Loan (Signed Copies of ID & Address Proof, Salary Slip, Form-16 Copies, Photo etc). Why the bank not returning the documents?? Is there any Law for the same to not return the documents??

Dear Friend, I suggest you get one more xerox copy of documents and stop insisting on those exact documents since those documents are xerox copies and now it is property of the bank. You can claim it to be yours in a civil suit but there are lesser chances of Court agreeing to it. Plus there is no point in insisting since you can make photocopies of document except if they are original. Original documents unlike xerox are your property.
