1. Firstly , You write an application before the Registrar of the District/Metropolitan City for Issuing the Certified Copy of Such Will , Only you can recieve such certified copy if the relevant will is registerd before the Registrar any where in India .

2. If will is registered then you can easily cross checked but if will is not registered then you can't find.

Registration stamp should should be there on the will and on the normal will paper there is not registration stamp. Registration number should be there on the registered will paper. if on the will paper there is no where mention any registration number, you can get it registered.

You can cross-check in the following manner:

1. You can read it line by line and make sure the wordings are the same;

2. Make sure all the stamp, the names, the dates etc. are the same;

3. You can ask a lawyer to do the checking for you;

4. There can be many number of wills. The Will which is the last Will and mentions that it overwrites all other Will would be considered the final Will.

The Will which was the last one before the death of the testator will be considered the will to be executed by the executor and all other Wills would be overridden immediately.

You can apply for and obtain certified true copy of registered Will and compare it with the copy with you. So long as a person is alive he can prepare end number of Wills and revoke his earlier Wills, may it be registered or unregistered.

Once youve identified the relevant authority, visit their website. Many government departments and registries offer an online platform that allows you to search for wills. Search for sections devoted to probate or estate administration, as well as wills.
