The will left by my grandfather is notarized with witnesses. I have the copy of the notarized will. How can I get the certified copy?

Certified copy can be procured only if it was registered before the Sub Registrar by your grandfather. Since it is notorised you cannot get a certified copy. However, the Will duly signed by the testator and attested by two independent witnesses is legally valid Will as per law of India. For further advise you May seek consultation

Hello Sir.

If the will is not registered at the subregistrar's office, a certified copy of the will can’t be produced.

However, you may probate the notarized will by summoning the notary public and attesting witnesses.

Regards.
