How to report illegal construction in Bangalore

My apartment is constructed one extra floor, which is not approved by the BBMP by the land owner. Now they are constructing some more things on the terrace, which is illegal & risky for the building. How do i report this to BBMP & stop this construction ?
The normal route is to give a letter to the BBMP and getting an endorsement on a copy of the same for your records. The BBMP will issue notices etc. to the other involved parties on the basis of your letter and also would inspect the premises and then move on to issue appropriate orders. If the BBMP fails to act on the letter, the courts can be approached for necessary relief.

I suggest you to file a complaint before the AEE(Assistant Executive Engineer) BBMP against the illegal construction. He is bound to take action as per KMC Act against the Land owner. Draft a formal complaint(along with picture photographs) and file the same before AEE.
