Someone tries to grab our land via adverse possession law

My step grandmother lent a agricultural land for one time payment of rupees 7k around 1995 and whenever we repay that money he will return that land to us. Now there is not as such any agreement for this. And that person having criminal history so no one will come out to in our favour and now he tries to pull us in order to adverse possession case bcz its been more than 28 yrs. We tried to ask him to leave the land we will pay u the money but he denied. What can we do for it.

so your case is going on of adverse possession or you are just saying this. agricultural land that was lent out was on some agreement or not. was there any sort of settlement regarding something that is to he paid or to be maintained. more info is required

If the title documents of the property in issue is on the name of your grandfather then we can file suit for recovery of possession. They can not claim adverse possession if the property was given to them in lieu of loan advancement. For further advice feel free to contact

Where is the land located ?
If he being the tenant then u need to hire expert advocate to file eviction suit along with suit for possession n damages ! We need more details n facts of the land n the grabber
