Clerical Error in conveyance deed receipt.

25-Jun-2023 (In Property Law)
Hi, I am looking to buy a property in Delhi and i have a copy of the property document. The seller is initial allotee of a CGHS flat. He provided a conveyance deed from 2012. All the information in CD is correct, but the receipt generated for the CD has a clerical error. Instead of mentioning the address as block L, it mentions it as block C. This same error is visible when i checked the details on DORIS (Delhi online registration information system). To get this rectified, does the owner need a rectification deed made? Or can this be corrected by a declaration? Please guide. Thanks.

After going through the contents of the query I would advise you as follows :

a rectification deed needs to be executed and registered by the seller and the original owner before the same sub registrar where the principal conveyance deed was registered.
