normally in maintenance case if court has passed some amount more then what is expected by husband, he may file an petition in high court challenging that order and if the court is of the opinion that stay is to granted it will grant stay subject to the condition of payment of some amount which may be 50 percent of arrears of maintenance granted and in most of cases the order granted by lower court is confirmed by high court.

Your husband can approach High Court for a stay on the family court order asking for the reduction in the maintenance amount awarded awarded. For appeal he has to go to High Court. You will get notice from HC and argue.

Dear Madam,
Your husband may not get stay order for entire amount but the Appellate Court may ask him to pay atleast 50% of said amount and arrears thereof. In the meanwhile try to recover the amount by issuing attachment of warrant against movables of your husband.
