Changing Name in 10th Certificate:
Changing your name on your 10th certificate is possible, but it involves a legal process that must be followed correctly. Here are the steps to change your name on your 10th certificate:
  1. Prepare Legal Documentation:
    • Begin by preparing the necessary legal documents to support your name change. This typically includes an affidavit stating the reason for the name change, a newspaper advertisement announcing the name change, and a gazette notification.
  2. Affidavit for Name Change:
    • Visit a notary public or a judicial magistrate to create an affidavit for changing your name. In the affidavit, you need to explain the reason for the name change and declare that you will use the new name from now on.
  3. Newspaper Advertisement:
    • You may be required to publish an advertisement in a local newspaper announcing your intention to change your name. This is done to inform the public about your name change.
  4. Gazette Notification:
    • Apply for a gazette notification for your name change. The government gazette is an official publication where name change notifications are recorded.
  5. Document Verification:
    • Once you have these documents, submit them to the concerned government authorities for verification. They will review your application and the supporting documents.
  6. 10th Certificate Update:
    • After obtaining the gazette notification and other required documents, you can apply to the education board or authority that issued your 10th certificate. Submit an application for the name change along with the supporting documents.
  7. Follow-Up:
    • Be prepared to follow up with the education board or authority to ensure that your name change request is processed. It may take some time for the change to be reflected on your 10th certificate.
  8. Update Other Documents:
    • Once your 10th certificate reflects your new name, you can use it as proof of your changed name to update other official documents like Aadhar card, passport, and driver's license.
It's essential to follow these steps carefully and consult with legal experts or professionals if needed to ensure a smooth name change process. Keep copies of all documents and receipts related to the name change as proof of the process
