Hi, nnMy wife and I are divorced in the US. She filed for restitution in India in a subcourt in rural Tamil Nadu. nAfter dragging the case for 3 yrs through covid and after she failed to appear for mutiple hearings, the judge marked a date for ex-parte judgement last year. He postponed the judgement 7 times and my wife went back to India and re-opened the case requesting him to set aside judgement. nnNow one year later, we both have appeared, cross examinations complete, arguments complete and he marked a date for judgement. He has postponed judgement 2 times already. This time he pushed it out 20 days and I have no hope that he will deliver a judgement before summer holidays. Lawyers are scared to ask the Judge why he won't deliver judgement on time. What legal recourse do I have? can we go to higher court and force him to deliver judgement within a stipulated period?

pronouncing judgement is the duty of the court no one can interfere in the pronouncement of the judgement the judges full power to decide the case as the time fixed by him no one can compel the code to pronounce the judgement at stipulated period of time if anyone is doing such thing or pressurizing to give the judgement it is the contempt of court no one can interfere the process of delivering the judgement by judge in any matter
