By when and how should a respondent reply for a divorce notice?

12-Apr-2023 (In Divorce Law)
Hi, I am thinking of filing a divorce notice to my wife. Once the notice is served, by when and how should my wife respond to the notice? Is there any time period before which the respondent (my wife) has to respond to the notice in writing or do they have to directly appear in the court for the hearing?

if you issue any notices to your wife then she may get ready to defend. hence it is advisable to you to file divorce and contest the case. it is going to be good for you. do not take adverse decision.

Either you can send a legal notice and wait for 15 days for a reply or you can file a petition for divorce directly in your local jurisdiction family court. Post filing case in court, court will send notice to your wife for which your wife need to appear in court.

If you are sending a legal notice wait for 10 days from the date of receipt of notice, even after 10 days if your wife fails to reply, you can very well file the case against her. Only after filing the case, she has to appear before the court on the date of hearing .
