An injunction order is a court directive that tells someone to either stop doing something or take a specific action. It?s used to prevent harm or protect someone's legal rights.

There are two main types:

  • Temporary Injunctions-These are granted quickly, sometimes within a few days or even hours if the matter is urgent. They are meant to provide immediate protection until the case is fully heard.

  • Permanent Injunctions-These are issued after a full trial and can take months or even years, depending on the complexity of the case and the court's schedule.

The time it takes to get an injunction depends on:

  • How urgent the situation is

  • The evidence presented

  • The workload of the court

In cases like stopping construction on disputed land or preventing the sale of property, courts may grant temporary relief very quickly.

Dear Client, Thank you for writing your query, and here the injunction order is always depends on situations and circumstances of an issue, based on facts and documentation by an advocate the magistrate will pass injunction order in this process if anything questionable from the magistrate on the issue then it will take some time of sessions or else in a day we will get in first instance only.

Dear user, We have to file the suit along with out of order with all the relevant documents and the same will come to bench after lunch hours, after hearing the arguments if the court feels that there is a prima facie case the court can grant ad-interim injunction. But it depends on the discretionary power of the court whether to grant injunction or not. If it is a suit for simple injunction it is better to file a suit for injunction before the Junior Civil Court instead of filing before the District Court.

If the petition is filed under Rule 57 of C.R.P. the court will take up urgent hearing and if the court is convinced about the case, the order will be passed on same day. If the court is not satisfied by arguments of lawyer or facts of case, it can order notice to the defendant and will not pass any order.
