Non judicial stamp paper lost while home shifting

02-Mar-2023 (In Criminal Law)
Hello Respected members of the law. I had purchased 2 non judicial stamp papers 3 years ago, 1 was used and one was not. Recently I shifted my house and during the process lost lots of documents including that non judicial stamp paper, it was 100 rupees. My signature were on the behind of paper which were taken by an advocate when he sold me that stamp paper. Can I get Into trouble if it is misused and can it be misused in the first place? Should I file a lost item complaint with police? Thank you.

Dear client

It is advised that you file a missing report at your nearest police station (old house location) this would protect you in case that document lands in the wrong hands.

Definitely you should report it to the nearest police station. A duplicate copy of the stamp paper could be obtained from the stock exchange if you have a copy of that with you or you remember its certificate number.
