Are 41(a) and Station Bail different

27-Aug-2023 (In Criminal Law)
I got 41(a) notice and police took money for station bail, though I submitted my Aadhaar card copy, I didn't get any written confirmation or anything saying they gave bail to me. Money was paid via my Lawyer and he said that bail bonds would be submitted in Court and we won't get anything in written, he said me being not arrested itself is proof that I got bail. Please suggest.

Any person/s shown as accused in offence/s which is/are punishable for a term less than 7 years, won't be arrested. Just the SHO of the police station gives a notice to the accused under section 41-A Cr.P.C. that means a complaint lodged against you and you should attend before the concerned Court of law when you were asked so.

The question of station Bail would not arose in police station. just they called you for giving notice only.
