Yes, a difference in name can cause issues when applying for a passport. The solution would be to provide an explanation for the difference in name along with relevant supporting documents (such as the 10th class certificate, birth certificate, etc.) to prove that both names belong to the same person. It is advisable to visit the nearest passport office and seek assistance from the authorities there.

A discrepancy could cause questions regarding your identity, and whether you are eligible for graduation or a scholarship. You should correct the discrepancy between your fathers and your name to avoid any issues. This can be done by applying for a change of name in your Aadhar Card. 18-Aug-2023

Yes, this discrepancy in name can cause issues while applying for a passport. To resolve the issue, you can provide relevant documents to prove that both names belong to the same person, such as:

10th class mark sheet
Birth certificate
PAN card
Voter ID
Any other government-issued ID with the correct name.
This information can help establish the identity and assist in resolving the issue. You may also want to consider getting the name corrected in all relevant documents before applying for the passport.

your father is having two names, so your father has to give notarized affidavit on non judicial stamp paper regarding that both names belong to one and same person to passport authorities in this regard.

You can provide a reason for the name difference and relevant documents (such a birth certificate or 10th grade certificate) to prove your claim. Prove that the two names belong to the exact same person.
