Is running tiffin service from a residential flat commercial activity

18-Feb-2023 (In Civil Law)
My wife runs tiffin services from our residential flat and from our home kitchen. Since our society is in the middle of a farming area, there aren't any hygienic food shops, hence some residents who are mostly students and lecturers of a nearby college use her services but now the society president has sent us a notice of stopping this commercial activity. Questions: 1. Is this service a commercial activity? 2. Can it be covered under the 20% use of residential flat for business? 3. Our RWA asked additional 5000/- from all members in order to participate in the elections of the new RWA team and hence most residents didn't participate in the elections and a select 25 people who paid the amount elected the new body including the president. So is this not illegal? 4. If point 3 makes the president illegal then does the notice from him also not invalid?

Any activity which derive consideration in cash or kind will turn to a commercial activity. Please go through the bye-laws of society for further rules and regulations. In the bye laws of society you will find the process of election, minimum corum of meetings.
