Right of wife and children on self acquired property of a man

I'm Hindu unmarried boy 28-year-old .my family consists of 5 members.father mother elder married sister me and younger unmarried sister. the issue is that my father refusing to give his property to family .he wishes that property can give to others.my question is that what are the right of family over the father property.incase he can give property to other what can we do.if it is self acquired than what are the right over property.if my family cannot do on self acquired property.he cheite my mother by marriage and give birth to children and now playing game like he cannot give property.then what my mother can do . what her life safety? About 35 years she doing anything he wants.but now he cheated her like this.so she talking about suicide. but we are 3 children give her a supportive talk.that we will take action in police station.can she claims property share ? And punishment for him making her mentally and physically harrshment

self acquired property can be disposed off by the person the way he wishes. if there are any ancestral and Joint family properties only then the children will have a right over the property.
As regards your mother she can claim a maintenance and she also cannot have right on the self acquired property of your father unless and untill he has given it out of his own will and wishes.

You have not clearly mentioned the nature of the property i.e ,weather it is a self acquired property or ancestral property. If it is an ancestral property then you have, means all the family members have the absolute right over the said property. In case if it is self acquired the property, non of the members having the rights over the said property.
