06-Jan-2023 (In Property Law)
Sir or Madam I have short listed a villa for purchasing situated in Chandapura. This project is approved by Anekal planning authority but not RERA registered. This is still under construction as of Jan 2018. Builder is saying banks are funding the loan. What is your advice on buying non RERA registered property ?

By now almost all the states have notified RERA and any property which is not registered with RERA is illegal. Infact no project can even be started without registration with RERA authority. Even before starting the project, the builder has give details of the project and regularly update about the development with RERA on its website. So the property is illegal and buying and selling of such a property are both illegal. It is suggested that you stay away from such a property even if it is being offered at a cheap price and looks enticing to you.
