My father is group A officer with salary of 16 lakh. But he was a direct recruit into group B post and was promoted to group A after 40 years of his age. My mother is non- working and my father's salary is the sole income. Do I come under Non Creamy Layer?
To answer this question, one has to read the definition of creamy or non creamy layer in the provision you are referring to. Generally all the status also come with rules/ circulars to clarify how to establish creamy layer.
To give a general overview, you will come under non-creamy layer at the time of applying as then your father has income of 16 Lakhs rupees
