Should I resign if the boss ask me not to come to the office anymore

I work as an accountant in a private firm. my boss has told me not to join from this month and says to collect the salary and bonus. in this case what should i do? should i resign?
Yes, you can resign but what purpose will it serve? You are in the private sector so the only thing I would recommend is that you leave on good terms because you may require his reference for a new job. Was a formal employment co Tracy executed between you and the firm? What does it say abou notice period etc? It all depends on that.
